Massage Finder: selected project records From design-qa.md: - Earlier direction removed original city, information, and reviews sections. User review classified that as a major product-character mismatch. - Fix: restored the original `master` composition, retained only the scan-friendly top-listings module and search-label improvements, and returned reviews to the bottom. - Post-fix evidence: the hero, city, and reviews comparison inputs above show the restored source treatments; the browser evidence confirms the complete section hierarchy and working search. From the approved July 13 homepage design: # Homepage Enhancement Design **Date:** 2026-07-13 **Status:** Approved revision ## Goal Preserve the established MassageFinder homepage design and personality while making real businesses easier to scan. The homepage should feel like the original site, not a replacement design, with one new decision-useful module: up to six top listings immediately after the hero and search. ## Approved Direction The original `master` homepage is the visual and structural baseline. Its hero, city imagery, regional browsing, process explanation, featured categories, comparison content, Toronto/GTA feature band, and bottom reviews are retained. The revised homepage order is: 1. original image-led hero, Sacramento kicker, headline, supporting copy, and search; 2. up to six real reviewed listings in a compact, scan-friendly card grid; 3. original popular city image section; 4. original regional location section; 5. original How It Works band; 6. original Featured Categories section; 7. original comparison and directory-information content; 8. original Toronto/GTA feature band; 9. original reviews/testimonials section at the bottom; 10. existing footer. ## Listing Module The listing module remains the useful addition from the prior redesign: - load existing reviewed directory records through `getAllDirectoryListings()`; - show no more than six records; - place at most one active featured record first and label it `Sponsored`; - fill remaining positions deterministically with organic records; - preserve approved business photos; - use distinct licensed illustrative fallbacks where approved photos are unavailable; - label fallback imagery `Illustrative image`; - keep Reviewed, Claimed, Verified, and Sponsored semantically separate; - link every card to its MassageFinder profile. No review scores, rankings, endorsements, or unsupported claims will be invented. ## Scanability Improvements Retained - persistent `Location` and `Massage type` labels in the hero search; - compact listing cards with consistent information hierarchy;
